last of NYC

Union Square Green market! Selling maple syrup and jam. Must be DELISH.
Bubba Gump in times square. Ordered New England clam chowder and a hamburger. Their fries are the best! I love the spice on them!

Asa gohan. Omisoshiru and rice! AHH!

Walking in Greenwich area, found some walking market. Beef Kebab on a stick!

This is it for Spring break in NYC. I miss it already.

Little Italy in NYC

A trip to Little Italy in NYC. We got carried into a restaurant called, Da Gennaro Ristorante. Their warm bread with olive oil with garlic and chili peppers.

This is my dish; Lunch special.. started with c... haha spinach and cheese were rolled in pasta. Put parmesan cheese and spiced it up with pepper. Tomato based.

My friend ordered their lunch lasagna which was tomato based.

Walking in Little Italy... cup cakes and canolis..

Japanese sweets from Sunrise! Kinako-mochi; the individual pieces were SO BIG. the kuromitsu was heavenly.
the second one is matcha roll cake. The whipped cream was really good. Not too sweet and not too fattening!

Chocolate from max brenner. My friend bought it for me! :D 70% cocoa. My favorite.

Oh-so-famous mochi ice cream from Kenka. Matcha, Vanilla, and red beans! My personal favorite is red beans!

NYC Spring break

This is Setagaya trip #2. My other friend got the fish based ramen! The noodles were different from the shoyu based ramen; this one was a lot thinner. Came with chashu and their soup was more oily, but I suggest this one over the shoyu ramen.

Went to Max Brenner with my friend from college. We both ordered sandwiches. My friend had the Tuna salad sandwich and I ordered BLTA. The bacon was crisp and it was very fattening! but I ate it all. haha Their pickles were a sour kind, and their waffle shaped fries were very spicy.

Back in NYC

My friend took me to Brooklyn. (Bedford) and I got hungry, so had my second lunch.
This falafel was delicious. It ws only $3. I'm getting it without the hot sauce next time, though. I really liked the actual falafel part. Yummy chick peas!

Shake Shack at Madison Square! My friend and i arrive there 30 minutes before opening time, when the workers were still laying out their tables and seats. Good sunny day so we waited outside. This is shroom burger, their deep fried portobello mushroom with tomato and lettuce. I tried my friend's cheeseburger... it was SO juicy. daaang juicy. oishikatta! Their fries are good, too. It's one of those accordion-like fries! Cute.

My friends' suite-mate was making dinner. Asparagus and mushroom? marinated with tomato sauce! Pretty good! She toasted bread and put it on the side. I want to cook!

My first time at Red Mango. I loved it! I think it tastes better than 16 Handles. I had regular froyo with sliced almonds as my topping! I think they had matcha flavored froyo, too.

Korean restaurant called, "big house" in English, in K-town! So many dishes displayed.. haha

goodbye philly

Chicken and garlic congee.

Real stuff!

We didn't get to have this but this is what Vietnamese people have for their New Years.

More from Philadelphia adventure...

We went to a Malaysian restaurant called, Banana Leaf, located in Chinatown in Philadelphia.
We ordered Indian pancakes, Siam Prawns, and a vegetable dish that I can't remember the name of.

And here comes Feast 2 from my friend's family:

Bitter melon stuffed with Pork!

This is abalone with mushroom and chinese bok choy, baby corn and cilantro on top. It was served warm with ankake-like touch to it. Very good and healthy.

More from Philly heavenly food:

So, this is the product of the famous PHO!

We had two types of cakes that my friend's teacher had brought with him. Fruit tart and lemon tart. Yum...
Angel-looking strawberries. So fresh.

So this is the Philadelphia Cream Cheese mixed with Oreos covered with dark chocolate dessert that one of my friends made. Slices of strawberries were added for an accent. So filling!
